Sydney Mini - 21-23 November
The Australian British Parliamentary Debating Championships (affectionately known as ‘Sydney Mini') is once again at Sydney University. Sydney Mini offers an irresistible combination of exceptional debating, quality adjudicating and generally above-average banter, making it the best way to prepare for the World Championships.
If you're looking for a team mate, ask one of the exec.

Melbourne Mini - 5-7 December
Melbourne Mini is a British Parliamentary tournament hosted by the Melbourne University Debating Society. This year it will run from the afternoon of Friday 5th December to Sunday 7th December. It once again looks to be a brilliant training ground for Worlds Teams

Results of the 2008 MUDS AGM
At the MUDS 2008 AGM the following executive was elected.

Macquarie to host the
Australian Women's Debating Championship in 2009
Macquarie has won the bid to host the Australian Women's Debating Championship in 2009. Co-Convenors for the tournament are Amy Van de Ruit and Susie Jerapetritis.
Worlds Teams Announced MUDS will be sending three teams to the World Universities Debating Championship held in Cork, Ireland.

ADAM Results
On the 27th June the largest MUDS contingent went down to beret infested Melbourne to take on teams from Australia preparing for Australs. Congrats go to Ministry of Chat (Felicity Wilson, Ashleigh Shand and Tom Hosking) for breaking to the quarter-finals. Also Laura-Kate Shaw for break as an adjudicator in her very first tournament!! Daniel Delimihalis also achieved 4th best Novice speaker.
