Australs 1999

At the Victoria University of Wellington

Australs 1999 was held at the Victoria University of Wellington (VUW, or Vic), New Zealand. The tournament was very well run, and there were literally no delays. Unfortunately, Macquarie did not make the break (the finals) this year, however, this is more a reflection on the quality (or lack there-of) of adjudication than the calibre of our debaters. Indeed, Janine (from team 1), had the honour of being chosen to represent Australia in the annual test debate between Australia and the rest of Australasia.

Everyone had a terrific time at Australs, and we all look forward to a great showing at Worlds at Sydney Uni at the end of the year.
