The Australasians tournament is the largest and most prestigious three-on-three debating tournament in the world. Australasians (or Australs as we like to call it) involves participants from all over Australia, Asia and, of course, also from New Zealand.
In 1994, Macquarie University representatives Fenja Berglund, Bram Williams and Ben Way defeated the UTS team of Justin Greiner, Angus Macinnis and Andrew Metcalf in the grand final.
In 1994, the
University of Tasmania was the host of the Australasians tournament.
Congratulations and many thanks to this very succesful team! In case you already don't know, Macquarie University (via the talents of Fenja and Ben) went a step further to win the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS in 1996!
