MUDS AGM 2008

The MUDS AGM shall take place on Monday 20th October at 6pm in C5C209.

The returning officer for the AGM shall be Shaun Star.

Quorum for this meeting consists of 20 members of the club (financial). 10 members must be physically present. (MUDS Constitution, s 8.1.2)

Members may give a proxy for their vote. This must be in writing, signed, and specify the date of the meeting and the member who is to hold it. (s 8.3)

No member is to have more than 5 (five) proxy votes.

Members entitled to vote must have been members of MUDS for 7 days preceding the AGM (s 4.5). If you are unsure if you are a member ask Dan (dandel26@optusnet.com.au)

Nominations for the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer must be received by the Returning Officer 48 hours before the AGM. (s 8.5) Please email all nominations to Shaun at:  shaun_star@hotmail.com

To be valid nominations, they must be proposed and seconded by two members of the society before the close of nominations. (s 8.5.1)

One member may nominate for more than one position, but nominations for subsequent positions will be invalid once a position has been accepted.

Nominations for the 5 general committee positions will be opened at the AGM.

For those seeking to move constitutional amendments, s 12.2 of the Constitution outlines that it requires a 2-3 majority of the general meeting. Notice of amendment must be given to the President no less than 7 days before the general meeting. Amy's email address is brumbypup@hotmail.com
