Membership Information
What is MUCSA?
MUSCA is a non-profit student run organization that aims to provide social and educational services to its members. Each student year has volunteer representatives that meet weekly to organize and coordinate the various events that the association is involved in.
What Does it Cost?
10$ per year
Where Does the Money Go?
10$ is a fee that ensures the services which MUSCA provides can continue from year to year. Harbor Cruise boat rental deposits, venue booking fees, printing costs, gifts for guest speakers, and BBQ’s are but a few of the operating costs membership dues subsidize.
What does 10$ get me this year?
1. Two “themed” harbor cruises for a greatly discounted rate (members save 20$ from non-member price).
2. Book exchange service see O week booth for details and read the section on “book exchange” on the back of this brochure
3. At least 6 masters series talks throughout the year
4. A fancy MUCSA key ring (priceless)
5. Emails to keep you in the loop with any changes or issues that concern chiropractic students.
6. An opportunity to have your comments and concerns about the chiropractic program at Macquarie University given to staff at our regular meetings.
MUCSA BOOK EXCHANGE HOW DOES IT WORK?
The MUCSA book exchange is a new service that MUCSA is providing members this year in 2006. Simply follow these steps:
1. Sign up for MUCSA at the MUCSA booth located in the main courtyard in O-week
2. Fill out a book exchange form with the information regarding the items you want to sell along with your contact details
3. All members will receive an email with all the available books and contact details for the people selling them by Monday of week 2.
4. Organize a convenient transaction with those interested in purchasing your old text books !
